Kim - I love Joanna Russ. She wrote feminist sci-fi AND looked at Kirk/Spock porn and thought, "Yeah, I could make an academic career off that." She's like a hero. I should be ashamed because I heard of Tiptree (through Russ) but never read her. Atwood I've read, but not "Oryx and Crake" specifically although it sounds interesting. I love a good dystopia.

Somehow I've managed to never to hear of Somtow Sucharitkul, so that's awesome. I love learning about new authors.
